Kristina M. Batkins, FNP-C
Kristina’s passion for people and healthcare began during her childhood, growing up in Royal Oak, MI. As a young high school student, she began working in healthcare including a retirement home and as a physical therapy tech. While she enjoyed both working with the elderly and assisting patients with their rehabilitation, this ultimately led to her studies at Oakland Community College in the field of Emergency Medical Technology. Kristina continued her education by obtaining an Associate Degree in Nursing followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at South University in Novi, MI. Her nursing career was spent in the emergency department for over a decade. During that time, Kristina served as a department preceptor training new nurses. She has been nominated for several accolades including Beaumont Hospital’s Lorraine Headley Nursing Excellence Award and Daisy Award for her outstanding nursing care and dedication. Kristina attended the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Spring Arbor University earning a Masters of Science in Nursing degree prior to becoming certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Kristina now works with both Dr. Crandall and Dr. Hichme, and is devoted to not only patient care, but overall health and wellness. In her free time, Kristina enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and is a dedicated “travel-baseball mom”.
