George Maristela, MD

Dr. George Maristela, Jr. grew up in Mission Viejo, California where he attended Santa Margarita Catholic High School. From there he attended and graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. After UCSD, Dr. Maristela attended Ross University School of Medicine. From medical school he completed two years of General Surgery Residency training at St. John Hospital and then completed his Family Medicine residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit. While in residency he won an award at the Michigan State University Family Medicine Research Conference XXXI for his 3 year research on the assessment of sport related grade I concussions. Soon after completing residency in 2008 he joined Silver Pine Medical Group. He is also fluent in the Philippine language of Tagalog.
